Michelle Lim – Sparking Hope in The Face of Fear

If you love romantic suspense that sparks hope in the face of fear, you have come to the right place. I’m so glad you stopped by. Take some time to look around. Check out some of my recent book favorites, check out my books, and get to know me better.

Why Suspense?

“I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.”      Zachariah 13:9 NLT

As Christians we sometimes face tragedy that leaves us railing at the sky and questioning the very fabric of our faith. Along this difficult journey our trust in our Savior grows stronger, deeper.

Romantic Suspense takes us on a journey with Characters who face some of the worst things that life has to offer. Hope endures through their faith and we can glimpse the truths of their journey in the reflection of our hearts.

My Journey

Winona Minnesota 5

Growing up a pastor’s daughter in rural Minnesota, I developed a strong desire to share my faith journey with others. Inspired by reading countless novels and seeing the impact a story could have in my life, I began to put my thoughts on the page. Before I knew it, what started out as writing songs that I sold to my grandmother for a dime, turned into writing for the college newspaper.

Lake Superior Series 2

After college I taught elementary school for eleven years in Minneapolis Public Schools. During this time I chaired our building’s Grant Writing Task Force, Developed Arts integration Curriculum, Directed the Children’s Ministries Department at Church and began to write my first novel.

As a wife and at home mom of four rambunctious kids, my life is full of suspense. Mom by day, writer by night I finished three romantic suspense novels that have gained contest recognition in the Genesis, Frasier, and Rattler Contests.

In September 2012 My Debut Nonfiction Craft Book Idea Sparking: How to Brainstorm Conflict in Your Novel released with My Book Therapy Press.
