It’s Super Sleuth Wednesday! Here’s your case:
A 19-year-old man enters a pawn shop and steals something on display and stuffs it in his pants. He walks around the store, then returns what he stole to the display case. When he leaves the pawn shop he’s arrested and charged with grand theft. Is it because:
1. When the owner sees the would-be thief steal a fishing rod, he calls the police. When they arrive, he’s put the fishing rod back but is arrested because he has an outstanding warrant.
2. The thief steals an AK47 and stuffs it in his pants and is arrested as he limped out the store.
3. The would-be-thief steals a knife. He drops it on his foot and is arrested as he limps out the door with the knife stuffed in his belt.
Okay, which is it? Answer will be given next Wednesday.
