The year is 1986. The victim had been married for three months when she was discovered dead with three bullet wounds to the chest. The victim’s BMW and purse was stolen from the scene. Some electronics were left askew on the floor.
Investigators believed it was a case of a robbery gone bad, but the victim’s family never believed it. The family stated their daughter had been the victim of a stalker. Although they didn’t know the stalker’s identity, the family was convinced the stalker killed their daughter.
A 23 year old saliva sample and a bite mark on the victim, led to the case being reopened in 2009. The evidence proved overwhelming, even in the absence of DNA once the profile narrowed down the suspect pool.
Who do you think killed the victim?
A. A jealous ex-boyfriend had been stalking the victim. When she got married, he was so angry that he chose to take her life.
B. A jealous ex-girlfriend of the victim’s husband had been stalking the victim. When the victim got married, she was so angry that the stalker took the victim’s life.
C. A thief interrupted in the act of the crime killed the victim.
