This is that great time of year when we hit contest results from American Christian Fiction Writers’ Genesis Contest. Some of you may not have gotten the results that you wanted, but we want to celebrate those who did well.

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.”

Romans 12:15

With the heart of this verse in mind, today we are going to celebrate with those who are rejoicing in their Semi-Finalist Status. Tomorrow we will weep with those that weep in our annual Kleenex Party. Those of you who are congratulated here today, I invite you to stop back tomorrow and leave an encouraging word or verse for those who didn’t do as well as they hoped.

Leave a word of encouragement or congratulations for our Semi-Finalists!

We will be having a drawing for 2 $10 Amazon Gift Cards for those who leave a comment. Winners to be announced at tomorrow’s Kleenex Party.

Congratulations to all the semi-finalists! I did some serious whooping and hollering when I saw the names. It’s such to fun to see so many familiar ones.

    • Michelle Lim says:

Thanks, Keli!! You were one of the early ones to encourage me on my writing journey with your blog. Thanks for inspiring others on their journey and stopping by to offer congratulations!

  8. dtopliff says:

Also Snoopy Dancing for all semi-finalists, and come to think of it–I’m sure Snoopy Dancing is a Minnesota dance! Yay!!!!

  9. Bless you all! I thought I’d pop my grinning face in here and dance with y’all! Thank you for your congrats, and a special shoutout to Gabrielle Meyer, Amy Drown, Lindsay Harrel, and Jamie Wright Sundsmo!

  10. Thanks for inviting me to the party, Michelle! I hope that everyone who entered the Genesis will rejoice that they entered even if they didn’t semi-final. It means they’re serious writers. Keep going. I entered in the YA category and didn’t make it, but I’m excited to see the judge’s comments and suggestions because they make me a better writer. Perfecting this craft is tedious but fun. Enjoy the journey! Dancing on the couch with my goldendoodle. (Hope I don’t fall off.)

    • M. St-Germain, email me sometime w/the name of your book, if you want to share. I judged a few stellar YA books and I was determined to track down the authors and follow them. Some of those will get pubbed one day!!!! (heatherdaygilbert (at) gmail (dot) com.)

    • Michelle Lim says:

So, glad you are keeping a positive attitude about the feedback on the YA entry! What a great way to approach the contest! Congrats on your other entry!

  11. JaniceG says:

Lots of new names for name-droppers! Congrats on being worthy to be in the running! It is a good time to be encouraged with the words from Isaiah 40:31 “…but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Just remember not to faint if you happen to be a finalist! Blessings to you all for the wonderful work you have done!
