NaNoWriMo Dreaming Big – NaNoNuts

This week’s Idea Sparking: How to Brainstorm Conflict in Your Novel Blog Tour Stops Are:

Tuesday: Random Writing Rants
Wednesday: My Book Therapy Brainstorming Blog
Thursday:   Write Reason Blog
Friday:  Inspirational Sayings

(Drawing for the Free Kindle PaperWhite and  Blog Party will be Tuesday, November 13th.)

Today is the first day of NaNoWriMo. Where crazy dreams and reality collide to create something brilliant in 30 days or less. During NaNoWriMo I will offer tips and brainstorming warm-ups, but since I am also doing NaNoWriMo I won’t be here to comment quite as often. I will stop by though and follow-up each comment, just not quite as quickly. You ready to go NaNoNuts?

You can do amazing things if you simply dream big and roll up your sleeves. No, you aren’t crazy (well, maybe a little). You know how to go after your dreams and that is something to be proud of. Don’t sell yourself short by saying, “I don’t know if I can do this,” before you even begin. Be positive. Stay Positive.

It’s a rule of thumb that anytime you take on a huge task there are going to be set backs. Plan for it so it doesn’t take you by surprise. At the beginning of each week write yourself a twenty word encouragement to look at when you want to give up, or doubt yourself. Then use it!

Dreaming big takes lots of guts and a shoulder to lean on when the going gets tough. Hold each other accountable. Encourage one another. Celebrate the small successes.

Snacks are helpful to any writer. Yes, buy your favorite chocolate, but also remember to get some healthy snacks, too. Your body will hit a brick wall of poor nutrition if you aren’t careful.

Roll Up Your Sleeves!

This is going to be work. NaNoWriMo is not for wimps.

Are you planning to do NaNoWriMo? What are your November Goals?
