Where There’s Fire – Thoughts And Prayers

Today is a day just like any other for many of us. We got up, went to work, spent time with our families, but we are the unaware fortunate.

See, down in Colorado more than 32,000 families have evacuated from their homes and fire fighters battled through the night while we slept. Houses are in the line of fire, loved ones are risking their lives to save others, while we slept.

Today on my blog we are going to pray while we are awake. If you have friends or loved ones in the fire zone, leave a first name and we will remember them in our prayers today.  Those of you reading my blog, please take the time to check in and add the names to your prayer list.

Any encouraging scriptures can be posted below, songs or words of thanks for our fire fighters. We may not know how to fight fire in the physical realm, but we do know how to pray.

For information on the Colorado Fires follow this link to Fox News.

Songs to Encourage:

Matt Redman “You Never Let Go”

Natalie Grant “Our Hope Endures”

David Crowder Band “You Never Let Go

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;

when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,

and the flame shall not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2 (ESV)

Who would you like us to pray for? OR What encouraging words, verses, or songs could you share?
